June 16--Sybron International Corp. has agreed to buy orthodontic-related companies in Sturtevant and California through Ormco Corp., its orthodontic appliance company.
Ormco will buy Allesee Orthodontic Appliances Inc., a Sturtevant business with about $3.5 million in annual sales, and E.T.M. Corp., a Monrovia, Calif., company with annual sales of about $5 million.
The purchase prices were not revealed. Ormco expects to finish the acquisitions by the end of the month, said Jeff Harris, Sybron's general counsel, and no jobs are expected to be affected at either company. AOA employs about 75 in Sturtevant. There are about 40 employees at E.T.M.'s California ...
