Nov. 19--COLLEGE STATION -- Trailing a team with a higher profile, considerable size and plenty of athletic ability, James Davis and Lamar Sanders kept battling against Saint Louis, hoping that at some point the Billikens would cool off.
They never did, and the Lamar Cardinals never quite warmed up enough. They fared far better Saturday than they did a day earlier against Texas A&M, but the result was the same: It was a loss, albeit a closer, more encouraging one.
