FATAL FAMILIAL INSOMNIA
My family has a secret
aside the usual agog whispers of black sheep
and the black dog
it is the secret of insomnia
that leads to the grave
no-one knows when it will fall
neither daughters nor sons are spared
eyes will lie eerily open through the night
seeing the walls in shadow
and the fatigue will set in
the madness that seeps into everything
