NEW YORK--Making online photo processing simple and convenient is standard procedure for chain drug stores.
Retailers agree that customers are turning to them for such initiatives because of the flexibility of online services and the speed of one-hour photo processing.
"We are moving away from overnight service," notes Scott Porter, category manager at Kerr Drug. "Our standard photo department now includes albums, frames, digital media, film and services, and one-hour labs."
According to Porter, a major challenge at Kerr is to educate consumers about the online and digital landscape.
