Nov. 20--La Crosse County ranks pretty well in a study of health outcomes by the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine and Public Health.
Looking at La Crosse County's health overall, we rank 16th out of the 72 Wisconsin counties. One of the strong points is the number of people here who exercise regularly. But there is a down side as well, as we begin to examine the report in more detail. Two areas that paint a darker picture of La Crosse County's health risks are the natural environment and some destructive behaviors.
