PARIS - Pierre Hardy is a master multi-tasker.
As the designer behind ready-to-wear houses Balenciaga and Herms, Hardy turns out a host of must-have styles each season. Add to that his own flourishing high-end line and it makes for quite a juggling act. "Compartmentalizing each collection, in my mind, is like being an actor and playing a part," Hardy said in an exclusive interview with Footwear News during Paris Fashion Week last month.
This year, the seasoned designer has been in the spotlight for heavy, detailed platforms for Balenciaga, one of the defining fall '06 styles.
