CANBERRA, Nov 20 Asia Pulse - Any recommendations of criminal charges from the AWB inquiry will be sent to federal police and prosecutors for further investigation, Attorney-General Philip Ruddock says.
Commissioner Terence Cole's year-long investigation of the AWB Iraq kickbacks scandal has wound up, with his report due to be handed to the federal government this Friday.
It is expected to be tabled in parliament next week.
The report is likely to recommend a string of charges against current and former AWB executives over the wheat exporter's payment of $A290 million ($US222.5 million) in kickbacks to the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein. ...
