Nov. 18--True Move reached a landmark agreement on interconnection charges with rival Total Access Communication (DTAC) yesterday and said it would stop paying access charges to TOT Plc, a move that could severely hurt the revenues of the state-owned telecommunication company if it holds up in court.
The deal puts the mobile operator in compliance with National Telecommunications Commission regulations to fully liberalise the local telecom industry, said Supachai Chearavanont, the chief executive and president of True Corp and True Move.
