Humanities Festival 2006: A curious odyssey indeed.

Nov. 20--By definition, a new artistic director typically means a new artistic direction -- and that's certainly what the recently concluded Chicago Humanities Festival appears to be embarking upon. Though any 17-year-old event obviously can use an infusion of new ideas, it's the execution that proved problematic at this year's fest, which ended Sunday.
