Karachi, November 04 (PPI): MNA of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), veteran Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader and ex-Mayor of Karachi Abdul Sattar Afghani died here on Saturday morning in a private hospital, where he was under treatment for kidney ailments since last one week. He was 76. Abdul Sattar Afghani was born in Karachi on July 6, 1930. He was elected Karachi mayor twice during 1879-1987. Later, in the 2002 general elections, he was also elected member of the national assembly from the constituency NA-250.
