Q. When our daughter was 6 months old, she started waking up at night and we started taking her into our bed. Now she is 4 and won't sleep in her own bed. We are crowded and not getting any rest. I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor in her room, but I'm pregnant and not getting my sleep. My husband says to come back to bed after she drops off. Are there books on this problem?
A. Since you do not buy the ``family bed'' concept discussed in past columns, and since you do want your children to sleep in their own beds, you must realize that you have inadvertently taught your child that she cannot go to sleep on her own in her own bed. Do not make this same mistake ...
