`Casino Royale' rules worldwide box office.

LOS ANGELES _ "Casino Royale" may not have been able to top the adorable penguins of "Happy Feet" in the United States, but the new James Bond flick ruled the rest of the world.

Playing in 27 overseas markets on 3063 screens, "Casino Royale" pulled in a reported $42.2 million, better than the Daniel Craig vehicle's $40.6 million U.S. haul.

Not surprisingly, the reboot of the 007 franchise had its best bow in the United Kingdom, where its $25.6 weekend included $3.7 million in Thursday previews. According to media reports, even without those Thursday previews, "Casino Royale" tied with "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" for the second biggest weekend on U.K. ...
