Nov. 19--If she could go back and do it over, Linda Lane would have sought advice before she opened her small business.
"It would have saved me a lot of headache and hassle," she said.
Four-and-a-half years ago, Ms. Lane opened Hi-Energy Weight Control Center in Aiken. The early years were a struggle to get her nutritional counseling business off the ground.
Though small businesses make up the vast majority of all businesses in the U.S., achieving the American Dream of entrepreneurship is anything but easy.
