'Table' for six at peacock.(Brief article)

Tension is brewing between NBC and 20th Century Fox over word that the Peacock is planning to reduce its order for midseason Alicia Silverstone laffer "The Singles Table."

NBC and 20th Century Fox TV execs were unavailable for comment, but insiders said the net will trim its 13-episode commitment to the show to six (five new segs in addition to the pilot).

Twentieth also produces the hit comedy "My Name Is Earl" for the network.
