IT IS one of the most contentious issues of our age: should women go out to work or stay at home to raise their children? Sisters Emma Wake, 34, and Maria Robinson, 39, are so opposed in their views that they are all but estranged. Emma and her husband, Justin, 35, who runs his own gardening business, live in Bracknell, Berkshire, with their daughters, Danielle, 13, Shannon, ten, Georgia, seven, and Phoebe, three. Emma says:

WE RARELY go to my sister Maria's house, but when we do I know what to expect. Her boys stay up late - if they have a bedtime at all - and they're allowed to eat anything they like.
