H.R. Haldeman, Richard Nixon's right-hand man before being fired in the heat of the Watergate scandal, said the late former president was "pretty fed up with Blacks" while in office, according to The Haldeman Diaries which were recently published.
Haldeman, who served as Nixon's chief of staff before being terminated, either wrote or dictated the day's happenings at the White House in a diary. Some of the entries highlighted bigotry at the highest level of American government.
