CALGARY, ALBERTA, Nov 24, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- Attention: News Editors, City Editors
Canada's oldest brewer today toasted the St. Louis Hotel and its most famous patron - Premier Ralph Klein - with one of the last pints of Molson Canadian to be poured at the iconic tavern.
"The closure of the St. Louis and the retirement of Premier Klein truly mark the end of an era in Alberta," said Mike Ross, Molson's vice president for Western Canada. "They are both one-of-a-kinds - two Alberta icons that will never be replaced."
The St. Louis Hotel will close its doors in December, having sold more than 20 million glasses of Molson beer over the last 40 years.
