Article: AMTRAK APPOINTS GEORGE D. WARRINGTON AS CEO - NORTHEAST CORRIDOR

 
WASHINGTON, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Amtrak announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the appointment of George D. Warrington as Chief Executive Officer - Northeast Corridor Operations, effective July 16, 1994. 
Warrington will be responsible for the development and management of the Northeast Corridor as a separate Amtrak business unit.  He will report to Amtrak President and Chairman, Thomas M. Downs. 
In announcing the appointment, Downs said Warrington "will lead our management focus on improving service quality, as well as our business performance, for Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and commuter customers."
