Jimmy Carter says he solved the nuclear crisis on the Korean peninsula. But he has only postponed it, probably for no more than two months.
Having said this _ and I'll explain the ``two months'' bit in a minute _ let me add that I am not sorry Carter went to North Korea. His behavior was outrageous, fawning over one of the world's last communist dictators and publicly misstating President Clinton's policies. And he brought back little that North Korea hadn't promised, and reneged on, before.
