NINTENDO AND SONY are about to launch a global war in your living room. These two companies, along with Microsoft, aim to claim a little patch of ground next to your television. From Sony's highly anticipated PlayStation 3 (PS3) to Nintendo's oddly named Wii (pronounced "we"), retail shelves around the world will be rocked by two massive console launches this holiday season. Not to be outdone by its competitors, Microsoft plans to release an HD DVD update to its popular Xbox 360.
