Pandora plant is fined $117,500 after fire.

Nov. 22--PANDORA -- A Pandorabased liquid-filling plant has been fined nearly $118,000 by the U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration for violations connected with a May explosion and fire at the plant.

Pandora Manufacturing LLC, which bottles fuel injectors and other chemicals, was fined $117,500 for 23 serious violations, one repeat violation and one willful violation of federal workplace safety and health standards.

O w n e r Dave Roper said he learned of the penalties Monday.

"We knew this was coming and that eventually they would levy their fines," Roper said.
