Alaska lawmakers have asked a state superior court judge to issue an injunction to prevent Republican Gov. Frank Murkowski from executing a contract for a $25 billion natural gas pipeline project over the Legislature's objection. The lawsuit was filed last week by six Republican and two Democrat lawmakers--on behalf of the entire 60-member Legislature.
