Before you board the bus and leave your heavy textbooks behind for the light fluffy stuff, take note of a few tips from people who've soaked their socks, burned their faces and stayed up all night long on school ski trips before you. And thank them for taking the fall so that you can simply soar down the slopes.
[1] Layer, layer, layer. Loose fitting layers like long underwear, waterproof pants, a turtleneck, a sweater and a ski shell will keep you comfortable all day, depending on the outside temperature and your activity level.
[2] Rock 'n Sock 'em. Bring an extra pair of socks for every day you're skiing.
