Nov. 28--ADELANTO -- For years families moving to the High Desert did so to get more bang for their buck -- new homes and upgraded amenities.
But a new proposed traffic impact fee going before the City Council on Wednesday, would tack an additional $4,452 on new single family homes.
Developers will have to pay the fee upfront. But the cost will be passed onto homebuyers.
Mayor Jim Nehmens said a slight increase in home prices won't deter homebuyers from moving to his city.
