NEW YORK - Young footwear designers have a new outlet with the introduction of T Casan, a novel women's retail concept.
The boutique, founded by Israeli entrepreneur Yaron Kopel and funded by private investors, is meant to nurture emerging designers by giving them a location in which to flourish. Seven designers, plucked from a pool of about 60 candidates, will introduce collections at the brand's first door, slated to open this week in New York's Soho neighborhood. The name, T Casan, has Gaelic origins and translates to "a woman's path."
