Today is "Cyber Monday," which has been touted by marketers as the biggest day of online holiday shopping. But in what its creators call a misunderstanding, Cyber Monday is falling well short of its reputation.
"Cyber Monday is a nice-sounding idea, but it doesn't exist," said Britt Beemer, chairman of America's Research Group in Charleston, S.C. "We did three consumer surveys about it last year and found no evidence of it."
