Nov. 28--A Main Line stock-trading firm is the newest member of the New York Stock Exchange.

Radnor Research and Trading Co. said today that it has joined the exchange, taking control of three of the 1,366 trading seats, after a year-long application process that spanned the Big Board's conversion from a member-owned cooperative to a publicly-traded corporation.

"We're part of a trend of highly-specialized, niche-type" stock and options trade-execution firms who are joining the exchange, said co-founder and president Charles Morgan Simpson, who started the firm three years ago with partner James Crompton.
