BRAVE double lung transplant patient Ian Bowie is looking forward to a new life - weeks after fearing he wouldn't see Christmas.
Ian has battled killer lung disease cystic fibrosis for years and was told his time was up unless he underwent the gruelling operation.
The 29-year-old was on 24-hour oxygen, his skin had turned grey and his weight plummeted to eight stone.
But the once-frail care worker, who couldn't walk to his garden gate without gasping for air, is now steadily regaining his health.
