Nov. 29--House Speaker Ben Lujan, probably the most powerful figure in the state Legislature, is facing a challenge for his position, the first serious challenge to his leadership the Nambe Democrat has faced since being elected speaker nearly six years ago.
House Majority Leader Kenny Martinezof Grants has been calling House Democrats in an attempt to line up votes.
And there's speculation the full House -- not just the Democratic Caucus -- could ultimately decide between Lujan and MarA-tinez. One House
