"Shoot me, man."
Those were the last words of Ryan Stewart Salisbury, captured on a Eugene Police Department in-car video camera moments before he was fatally shot in a confrontation with police.
The 19-year-old Churchill High School graduate shouted the words at Eugene officers Tuesday as he walked toward them with a large kitchen knife in his hand. His family had summoned police to their Skyview Lane house at 2:47 a.m. after Salisbury threatened to hurt himself and smashed windows and other belongings inside their home.
