Biorefinery To Use Stalks, Cobs The nation’s leading ethanol producer, Broin Cos., and DuPont have announced a partnership that will bring cost-effective ethanol derived from corn stover to market.

The partnership will build the nation’s first biorefinery capable of using the corn, stalk, leaves and cobs for ethanol. Some of the biomass will be used to replace natural gas to power the plant.
