PARIS (FNS) -- As you stroll by the Yves Saint Laurent building on Avenue George V, here, it is easy to miss several sooty, half-opaque windows on the street level. But it is behind this non-descript facade that the ever-elegant YSL shoes are born.
In an age when fashion companies turn to others to develop complementary products like shoes, the house of Yves Saint Laurent has taken a different tack. Since 1969, YSL has had its own, albeit small, shoe atelier.
