When TV Guide rolls out its online service this summer, the News Corp. magazine will become one of the most ambitious players in the interactive world. TV Guide Online--a stand-alone electronic service going onto Delphi Internet Services, a commercial online service that News Corp. purchased last fall--will have a look all its own.
Based on the prototype, users will be able to download crossword puzzles that ran in the pages of TV Guide as long ago as 1956, as well as Patric Walker's horoscope and star sign for each day; dash off e-mail messages to the heads of cable and TV networks; and talk to TV Guide editors and other readers in manageable groups of five people. ...
