NEW YORK--With African-American women continuing to embrace a multitude of hairstyles, the ethnic hair care category has come to encompass an unusually wide array of products.
"African-American women have traditionally been willing to experiment," says General Therapeutics Inc. president Alan Estrin, whose company manufactures the Queen Helene line of hair and skin care items. "Although it's a very loyal consumer segment, there is also a willingness to try new styles and products."
