Dec. 3--ALAMEDA -- Three seasons ago, Charles Woodson and Phillip Buchanon manned the starting cornerback spots for the Raiders. They were the kind of players the Raiders envisioned as a tandem unmatched in the league. Nnamdi Asomugha had no idea where he fit in. He played some safety, a little cornerback and even some nickel back in passing situations. He was a man without a home, yearning for a shot to prove he belonged in the starting lineup.
