Pontianak, Dec 4 (ANTARA) - Since the introduction of the biometric system to meet passport applications as of February 6,2006, a total of 5,144 applications had to be turned down because they were classified as double and due to administrative errors.Justice and Human Rights Ministry's Immigration Director General Basyir Ahmad Barmawi said in Pontianak on Monday that the verification of the applicants' identities was started in June 2006 and found 1,800 double passport applications.
