Northbound and southbound lanes constructed on 2-mile stretch in Emmet County
Northbound and southbound passing relief lanes were recently constructed on a 2-mile stretch of US-31 in Resort Township, which is in Emmet County. The approximately $2.5-million project began in July and it was completed by October. Cordes Excavating, Inc., of Hillman, was the prime contractor for the project.
The project involved adding one northbound lane and one southbound lane to the existing two-lane highway.
