South America lurches left!
At least, those are the headlines.
In country after country, populist leaders who espouse socialist solutions have come to power in South America. Dire for U.S. interests, it's said.
Instead of just fretting and lambasting our southern neighbors, Washington should see these changes as a chance to improve its stance in the hemisphere. It's a learning moment _ but, considering the pupils, will it be squandered?
