MIAMI, July 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryder PLC, a UK subsidiary of Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), has been awarded a three-year dedicated distribution contract by the UK's Milk Marketing Board, it was announced today by Randall E. West, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Ryder's International Division.  The contract is worth more than US$6 million annually and involves 85 milk tankers, 20 tractor/trailers and more than 160 employees, including drivers and maintenance personnel.  Ryder was one of five carriers selected from approximately 80 bidding for the business.
