PORTLAND, Maine, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul R. McConnell, a leading New England banking executive whose career includes strong ties to and knowledge of the Maine market, will join Fleet Bank of Maine as president/CEO and market manager in late August, it was announced today by Terrence Murray, chairman and chief executive officer of the bank's parent company, Fleet Financial Group (NYSE: FLT), and by the Board of Directors of Fleet Bank of Maine.
Murray said Anne Szostak, chairman of Fleet Bank of Maine and a Fleet Financial Group senior vice president responsible for human resources and corporate communications, will continue as the bank's chairman.
