Dec. 7--Students working on research papers during final exams week at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College were caught off guard Wednesday morning after a power outage hit the campus. Shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, students yelled, panicked and cried after the power went out at the Arnulfo L. Oliveira Memorial Library. Some students, who did not hit file save, lost their work.
Alma Solis, a freshman nursing major, said she had been working all morning on a research paper for her English class. While in tears, Solis said she would have to rewrite most of her work since she forgot to ...
