Dec. 6--Landmark Services Cooperative wants to raise $40 million from investors before building an $80 million soybean crushing facility in Evansville.
A feasibility study commissioned by the Cottage Grove company found the Rock County city to be a good site for the state's first soybean crushing plant, Landmark spokeswoman Betsy Francoeur said Tuesday.
But before Landmark makes a final decision, it must find other investors, she said.
"This is not going to be Landmark's total baby," she said. "We don't want to be the owner of this. We want to become an investor in it."
