WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass., Dec. 7 (AScribe Newswire) -- Economics professor Stephen Sheppard and the Williams College Center for Creative Community Development (C3D) have been awarded a grant of $334,384. The grant, given by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) will support the project titled "Museums and Community: Evaluating the Economic and Social Impact of Museums."
The project will perform in-depth analysis on 16 museums and communities around the U.S. to assess how local neighborhoods are economically and socially transformed by their museums. The C3D will study the impact of these institutions on employment and ...
