Dec. 8--At McKinney's Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary, it's not uncommon to happen upon a glimpse of life in the Mesozoic era. Making an appearance at Dinosaurs Alive! -- an exhibit running through Jan. 28 -- are seven robotic reptiles from Jurassic times that leap out of extinction as convincingly fearsome figures.
Carniverous types loom large over the Heard's Hoot Owl Trail. Featured are life-size animatronic creatures, including a tyrannosaurus rex, ceratosaurus, baryonyx, allosaurus, megalosaurus, cryolophosaurus and deinonychus.
