AgStar Financial Services Funds 17 E85 Stations in Minnesota
MANKATO, Minn., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- AgStar, a financial services company that focuses on clients involved in agriculture or those living in rural areas, has proven lately that its money really is "green." This year, the Mankato-based firm partnered with the American Lung Association of Minnesota (ALAMN) in helping 17 service stations install equipment for E85, the homegrown alternative to gasoline that contains up to 85 percent ethanol and just 15 percent gasoline. E85 is used in flex-fuel vehicles that are mass-produced by General Motors and other automakers.
