City divided over redistricting: Committee puts off vote on Los Altos Hills resolution.

Dec. 8--Los Altos Hills will remain a city divided, for now.

After a five-hour meeting Thursday, the Santa Clara County Committee on School District Organization put off action on a resolution submitted by the Los Altos Hills City Council calling for the formation of a K-8 district.

A follow-up committee meeting is scheduled for late January and the people denied a chance to speak Thursday will be allowed to speak then.

Los Altos Hills sends it children to either the Palo Alto Unifed School District or the Los Altos School District, a situation that upsets some Hills residents who want a district and public ...
