Dec. 8--Working under constant deadlines in a quiet corner of Mayo Clinic's ornate Plummer Building, a small team of artists is continuing a centuries-old practice whose forerunners include Leonardo da Vinci.
For nearly 100 years, the work of Mayo's medical illustration and animation unit has been confined mostly to medical circles. But starting today and running until Feb. 18, their art will be on display in a completely different context as part of the Rochester Art Center's main-gallery exhibit.
