Dec. 9--Coffee shops offer more than coffee. They have become a gathering place for the community. Starbucks is cashing in on the phenomenon by adding more shops in South Walton. "It's a place to meet your neighbors," Starbucks Regional Marketing Specialist Mike Lenda said. A new location in Rosemary Beach opened this week, just in time for the snowbird season, Lenda said. "As the snowbirds head this way they are looking for the familiar Starbucks sign," he said.
