Dec. 10--GULF BREEZE -- Like most 1-year-olds, little Niles is not going to understand what's going on during his first birthday later this month.
What's a little different in this case is that his parents probably aren't going to understand it either.
Niles is a hippopotamus calf born on Christmas day at The Zoo of Northwest Florida last year. To celebrate his first birthday, The Zoo staff is holding a celebration for the young hippo on Dec. 26. The Zoo is closed on Christmas Day.
