Ancient tombs of nobel families excavated in China
Beijing, Dec 11 (PTI) Chinese archaeologists have discovered nearly 100 ancient tombs of noble families from different locations in the country, the state media reported today.
Twenty-eight boat-shaped tombs and pottery dating back more than 1,300 years were found in Shangluo City in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
The tombs line side to side from the top to the bottom of a five-metre highland.
Experts said the tombs belonged to a noble family of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), judging from the size of the tombs, building materials and funeral objects.
